Living Room - the brief
Sarah needed to make the furniture work better in the living room of her traditional London Victorian home. A family with three children, they needed to make the space work for everyone, but after meeting we discovered that Sarah needed a space that wasn't necessarily all about the children. Sarah had always had a painting in the room from her honeymoon in Brazil, and we decided to use it as the theme for our colour choices.
After our consultation I proposed an exciting, bright colour scheme that I felt reflected Sarah and her passions. A fun wallpaper choice injected cheer into what was a gloomy space, old floorboards were stripped and whitewashed, an oversized mirror added depth and a large berber rug brought warmth. A statement pendant light gave a focal point and an L-shaped sofa provided the room the additional seating needed.
